EXTENSION COURSE IN MARIOLOGY
 

Description
The Theology Department of PUC-Rio, in partnership with the Central Coordination of Extension (CCE) of PUC-Rio, offers an extension course in Mariology online.

 

Duration 
The course has a workload of 60 hours.

Objectives
To study the figure, mystery, mission and meaning of Mary in the history of salvation. To investigate, clarify, and deepen the active presence of Our Lady in the mystery of Christ and the Church.

 

Menu
The Mariology course consists of three parts. The first part deals with the Woman Mary of Nazareth presented in the narrative of the four evangelists with their communities. The introductory class will open this narrative with the quotation from Paul Galatians 4,4. The second part will present the Mary of Nazareth narrated in the four Gospels by the first Fathers of the Church. And the last part will study the Marian Dogmas that the faith of the people created with their different names and to this day are invoked and worshipped.

Evaluation
The result of the evaluation will be expressed in grades, on a scale of 0 (zero) to 10 (ten), with a minimum final grade of five (5.0). The overall grade is calculated according to the weights given to the different proposed activities.
It is important to note the importance of meeting the deadlines required in the course.

Certificate
The student who satisfactorily fulfills the requirements of the course and passes the course will be entitled to a certificate issued by CCE/PUC-Rio as an Extension Course at the end.
